Mindful Movement: A Somatic Experience

Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher & MSW Student

During my travels in Southeast Asia, I have learned many different practices of yoga and meditation including Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Somatic Movement, Vipassana, Metta, & Zen. I returned to my home in Orlando where I began studying Social Work and combining my Yoga practice with Psychology and community work. I began teaching these practices at local jails and detox facilities from a trauma-informed approach as Lead Teacher with Yoga 4 Change & at Orlando Power Yoga. Since then, I have approached Yoga from a Somatic perspective where anyone with any physical ability can participate and receive the benefits of the practice.
